Let’s talk Microdermabrasion
Before we begin to dive face-first into this treatment, we think it’s important to cover the basics. Dermalinfusion incorporates a form of controlled and consistent microdermabrasion to remove the upper layer of skin. Think of this as a kind of exfoliation. Traditionally, microdermabrasion refers to any skin-resurfacing procedures. You may be familiar with the use of abrasive tips, fibrous pads or brushes to give the skin sort of a “polished” feel.
Dermalinfusion uses a more advanced technology in the microdermabrasion process to resurface the skin by enlisting controlled vacuum pressure to pull the skin up into the hand piece chamber to evenly abrade it using a diamond tip. Other devices and treatments which claim to do this rely on a skin therapist manually blasting particles at the skin or sweeping an abrasive tip across the skin by hand while applying the same pressure, at the same speed, consistently over the skin. While we do aim for perfection here at SkinTruth, we know that achieving a perfectly even and consistent treatment from beginning to end every time using these kind of devices is humanly impossible.

More than just a ‘wet microdermabrasion’
After your skin has been exfoliated and dead skin cells and debris have been extracted, it’s time to introduce your actives that have been carefully chosen for you by your skin care therapist to achieve your goals.
Now, traditional procedures work by dripping the serum/active ingredient over your skin once it has been exfoliated – this is known as ‘wet microdermabrasion’. This is what you should expect from a Silkpeel. The dermalinfusion device was created based on the idea of delivering ingredients that directly transform your skin and effect real improvements instantly.
How? You might ask. Well, as the skin is pulled into the vacuum chamber during the extraction process and skin is freshly exfoliated, the pores are simultaneously forced open ever so slightly making the skin perfectly vulnerable at that very moment in time to receive the deepest penetration of actives which are delivered by the very same device using pneumatic pressure.

Normal-Oily Skin
The treatment is effective on evening out skin which is oily in some areas while being dry in others. Skin is left feeling smooth and noticeably clean.
Dry-Normal Skin
Immediately after your treatment, you’ll notice a revitalized plumpness while enjoying an improved skin texture being soft and very clearly well-hydrated,
Sensitive Skin
With 6 abrasal settings, the treatment can be toned down or turned up as much as your skin type can handle or may require. Even sensitive skin will experience the benefits of this treatment with the skin being left incredibly smooth with visibly clearer pores afterward

Instant visible results and tangible effectiveness
We’ve harped on about how instant the results are of a dermalinfusion treatment but what we haven’t mentioned is that, unlike a traditional extraction, you’ll be able to physically see the effectiveness of the treatment.
While skin is being cleared using a controlled vacuum, all the contents are stored in your very own ‘junk jar’ collected by the dermalinfusion device. At the end of your treatment, you’ll be able to see exactly what the treatment extracted during your procedure. Trust us, it’s totally normal to be grossed out after your first session! At least you’ll have tangible evidence of the effectiveness of the treatment.
After-care
To maintain the results of your treatment, it’s important to follow an at-home after-care regimen with recommended products.
