platelet rich plasma

What is PRP?

Although blood is mainly a liquid (called plasma), it also contains small solid components (red cells, white cells, and platelets.) The platelets are best known for their importance in clotting blood. However, platelets also contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries. PRP is plasma with many more platelets than what is typically found in blood. The concentration of platelets — and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors — can be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual. To develop a PRP preparation, blood must first be drawn from a patient. The platelets are separated from other blood cells and their concentration is increased during a process called centrifugation. Then the increased concentration of platelets is combined with the remaining blood.

Vampire Facials

The Vampire Facial is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure involving the application of a gel-like substance called platelet rich plasma–derived from a patient’s own blood, into the skin of their face. It is a revolutionary treatment for face rejuvenation.

How it works

By stimulating the body’s own collagen production, the skin volume increases. This fills fine lines and shrinks pores. New microscopic blood vessels are also created, which increase pinkness in skin and speed healing. Patients find that their new skin is soft and more even in texture.

  • Reduction of acne scars
  • Even skin texture
  • Reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and smile lines
  • Lessens hyper pigmentation of all forms, from post inflammatory to melasma
  • Decrease in appearance of pore size
  • Firmness and elasticity in the skin
  • Reduction of stretch marks
  • A youthful glow
  • Grayish, pale or uneven skin tone
  • Rejuvenates Aging Hands

For skin brightening and general rejuvenation, we recommend three treatments that are two months apart. If there are brown spots to lighten or scars to soften, four treatments are recommended.

How long is the treatment and what is the downtime?

Treatment takes about 1-2 hours and Recovery 1-3 Days.
The skin will be pink afterwards. You will look like you have had a good dose of sun, or just finished a run. The skin lightens significantly in a few hours, and is usually undetectable the next day. Because the vampire facial encourages new collagen growth, results are seen soon after, and in the forthcoming two months. The skin will look refreshed, rejuvenated and younger overall.

Vampire hair restoration

How it works

PRP treatment serves as a non-surgical remedy to premature hair loss and thinning. It is most commonly used to treat male/female pattern baldness and alopecia but may also be used to encourage rapid hair growth in areas such as the beard, the eyebrows and the pubic area.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) has been used to remedy sports injuries and joint complaints for many years, but more recently, has come to the attention of the masses for its cosmetic uses. Through careful follicle stimulation, PRP can drastically improve the appearance of hair fullness, thickness and volume.

PRP makes use of nutrient rich resources in the blood to accelerate hair growth in the most natural, pain-free way possible. Using the body’s own natural instinct to heal itself, PRP injections target struggling stem cells, to assist them in the growth of healthy new hair.

PRP infusions are a tried and tested method for boosting wispy, lifeless or fine hair, leaving it visibly fuller and more healthy.

PRP is the perfect treatment for both male and female pattern hair loss, various forms of alopecia, and those suffering with hormonal imbalances that have lead to hair loss.

The best results are seen after 3 – 6 treatments over the course of 3 to 6 months.

How long is the procedure and what is the downtime

It should take about 60 minutes from start to finish but we do usually allow a little extra time. There is no downtime after Vampire hair restoration treatment. The area treated on your scalp may feel a little sore for the hours following but this can be controlled with pain relief if required.

PRP treatment and Sexual health

P shot and V shot

Enhance your sexual life and performance
What is PRP?

PRP is in the category of regenerative autologous treatments, which mean it comes from your own blood and can stimulate cellular regeneration and tissue repair. Platelets are one of the cells in our blood and when activated, they can release growth factors and other proteins.

V shot – Female

Significantly enhance your sexual life with our V-Shot for non surgical vaginal rejuvenation. Age, childbirth, or even menopause can decrease sensitivity and sexual confidence. The V-Shot is an all natural, non-invasive procedure that revitalizes vaginal and clitoral function, dramatically improving sensitivity for optimal sexual response. This in clinic procedure uses platelet rich plasma from your own blood and is then re-injected into the areas of the clitoris and upper vagina. The V-Shot also helps decrease urinary incontinence and increases natural lubrication.

P shot – Male

Enhance sexual performance and pleasure with a P-shot, more commonly known as a Priapus Shot. Improve overall vascular function, nerve sensitivity in the penis and erectile function. Whether you suffer from poor vascular health, nerve degradation, anxiety or side effects of medication, you can use PRP (platelet rich plasma) from your own blood to inject into the penis for a more vigorous sex life.

How long is the procedure and what is the downtime

The Shot is performed in our office. It should take about 60 minutes from start to finish but we do usually allow a little extra time. You may drive yourself home after the procedure.

You may resume sexual activity about 24 hours after procedure. An increase in sexual response can be seen within days of the procedure.
